The Youth Zone, located in East Manchester, provides a safe and inclusive space for young people aged 8-19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. HideOut is dedicated to giving young people three things they not only need, but deserve: somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
Young people have year-round access to a range of engaging and fun activities every evening, weekend and school holiday – 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year – for just one £5 annual membership and 50p per visit.
There are also a wide range of additional programmes available to encourage healthy lifestyles and gain key skills for independent living including personal finance and budgeting, 1:1 mentoring and training and employment schemes, alongside specialist mentoring, employability, and coaching programmes with the aim of improving their life chances.
With a focus on social mobility, young people are proactively supported by dedicated, skilled and qualified youth workers, staff and passionate volunteers, to develop themselves personally, socially, and economically and to realise and fulfil their potential.
This is passionate, properly-funded youth provision. A unique partnership between young people and their community, local authorities and private business leadership, and a growing movement of supporters. Together, we believe that all young people need is a chance to discover what they’ve got and where it could take them.
