NMC – Registered Nurse, Business Leader, Entrepreneur – Advocate for women’s health & wellbeing.

Meet Khatra Paterson, a Somalian-born, female business owner with a passion for ensuring women’s health and wellbeing. As an FGM survivor and SaveraUK Ambassador, Khatra is keen to raise awareness about how women can promote and maintain their health and wellbeing irrespective of their experiences. Having spent 32 years as a nurse, midwife and health visitor, Khatra’s caring and compassionate side has been well proven.

Harnessing her extensive nursing experience, alongside her impressive catalogue of healthcare and aesthetics qualification, Khatra established KP Aesthetics in Hale, in 2017, and has worked hard to transform it from a one room basement enterprise, into a thriving three-storey, seven-treatment room clinic. Khatra has recently launched KP Surgical, state of the art surgical suite bridging the gap between aesthetics and surgery.

The mother of two is a qualified Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Prescriber, as well as a member of NMC, BACN and CMAC. She draws upon her plethora of experience to provide high quality, aesthetics services in the CQC Registered Clinic.

Driven by the desire to help her clients feel more confident and with inclusivity at her core. She promotes the message that skin type, background or experience should not hold individuals back from being themselves, both young and old alike. She believes everyone deserves to follow their aspirations. Thanks to this inspiring perspective, she has received the Women’s Award; Inspirational Woman Of the Year 2020, the Woman & Home Award for Inspirational Woman 2021, Diamond Award Winner Safety in Beauty in 2021 and 2022 and The Dianne Oxberry special recognition award with This is Manchester 2023.

Khatra has overcome trauma to build a thriving business, she remains resolved to make a real difference in people’s lives, whether that is through a rejuvenating aesthetics treatment, or by supporting survivors of FGM. It’s onwards and upwards as she continues to go from strength to strength in her mission.
