You may have seen or heard Sanny on your TV or radio across the BBC and Sky Sports, where he works as a presenter and reporter. He has presented sports news across BBC Radio 1, 5 Live and Radio 4 and can be heard as the presenter of BBC Squad Goals on Saturdays. He is also part of the Sky Sports News reporting team and is also kept busy match reporting for BBC World Service and 5 Live Sport. He was also recently named an on-air ‘One to Watch’ by his peers at the British Sports Journalism Awards.
From Middleton, north Manchester, Sanny is a Bury fan and got into journalism through making and award nominated podcast series on the demise of his football club, Out of Our League. Before journalism, Sanny was a science teacher for a decade, with his last four years as an educator at the Manchester Hospital School.
Re-training in journalism at the University of Salford, Sanny came through the ranks at BBC Radio Manchester, including a stint as the Breakfast Show reporter, with live reports from market stalls in Bolton to burst river banks in Didsbury.
Sanny is a father of two young children and spends his down time trying to stop them burn down their home in Northenden!
