This is Manchester Awards were incredibly fortunate to have Dianne Oxberry our inaugural awards in 2018.
Dianne who was most famous in the region for her time on BBC North West Tonight, died in January 2019, just 10 days after her diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
In recognition of Dianne Oxberry’s longstanding career and values, This Is Manchester Awards have come together with Dianne’s family, friends, and trustees of The Dianne Oxberry Trust to create a legacy award, which will reward an individual from the region who embodies Dianne’s incredible spirit, a reflection of all that Dianne stood for, her values, and her DNA.
The award recognises an individual that has faced adversity and won and, by doing so, has left their own lasting legacy across the region.
Someone who had to work hard to achieve their goal, against all odds. No handouts or leg-ups - through sheer graft and grit and as a result, has made a difference.
The Dianne Oxberry – Special Impact will be judged by Dianne’s Husband, Ian Hindle, and trustees of the Dianne Oxberry Trust.
