This award recognises a woman making a strong and lasting contribution across Greater Manchester or the wider North West region.

The region has a powerful history of female leadership, from the Suffragette movement to today’s leaders across business, culture, and communities. This category celebrates women who are leading from the front, supporting others, and shaping the future through their work and actions.

Judges will be looking for clear evidence of achievement, leadership, and impact.

Judges will particularly look for evidence of:

Clear achievements within their field or community
Leadership shown through actions, influence, and example
Resilience and ability to navigate challenge
Positive impact on others, including support, mentoring, or advocacy
Contribution to their sector or community
Clear sense of purpose and direction
Impact within Greater Manchester or the wider North West region

Eligibility
Open to women across all sectors within Greater Manchester or the wider North West region.

Q3. Greater Manchester has a strong legacy of women shaping business, culture, and society. Please provide evidence of how the nominee demonstrates leadership that inspires others and contributes to strengthening opportunity, visibility, or progress for women across the region and beyond.
